As I wander back in …. (I’ve been away from writing recently), I’ve updated our photos page. I love photos…

They speak many words, and give a picture of life - I’m experimenting with how to “splash” them out there, since there are so many ways now. Enjoy “our side of life”

This is a great declaration …
Are we willing to risk it all for the truth of the Gospel?
Take It To The Streets
I am not a stranger to mercy, for you found me,
Wrapped your truth around me.
I am not a stranger to grace
I have seen it in Your face.
I am not a stranger to kindness;
We’re the broken with Your life inside us
You have brought Your gospel to me,
And I breathe it every day.
How did I become Your miracle?
Now to take Your truth and tell the world
I’m going to take it to the streets,
I’m going to sing it ’til we meet.
Heaven is open,
Come on all the earth rejoice.
I’m going to take it to the streets,
Wake up the dead heart from its sleep.
Heaven is open,
Now’s the time to raise our voice.
I will tell the world of this mercy, for You found me,
Wrapped Your truth around me.
I will tell the world of this grace
I have seen it at Your cross.
I will tell the world of this kindness
We’re the broken with Your life inside us.
You have brought Your gospel to me;
Help me live it every day.
How did we become Your miracles?
Now to take Your truth and tell the world.

“Worship is about surrender, holding nothing back and giving all of ourselves to the One who gave His everything for us” - Tim Hughes

All for Jesus…. All… All… What else is there that can satisfy … forever?

Psalm 144:12,15
“Let our sons in their youth be as grown-up plants,
and our daughters as corner pillars fashioned as for a palace …
How blessed are the people who are so situated;

How blessed are the people whose God is the LORD!”

There are many things in this world that people are passionate about:
- Politics, Social Issues, The War in Iraq, Occupation, Sports, Religion, etc.
What are you passionate about? What drives yout life? Does your passion dictate your purpose and direction or vice versa?
It would be interesting to hear your answers…
“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done. Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you are because of him, or her, or anybody.” Rocky Balboa

Something to think about …. alive, alive, alive to God, to life, to the world, to the many needs that others have…. alive to the reality of “me”, but looking to be “Jesus” to everyone else…. alive
“Dead Man (Carry Me)”
January 1, I’ve got a lot of things on my mind
I’m looking at my body through a new spy satellite
Try to lift a finger, but I don’t think I can make the call
So tell me if I move, ’cause I don’t feel anything at all
So Carry Me,
I’m just a dead man
Lying on the carpet
Can’t find a heartbeat
Make me breathe,
I want to be a new man
Tired of the old one
Out with the old plan
I woke up from a dream about an empty funeral
But is was better than the party full of people I don’t really know
They’ve got hearts to break and burn
Dirty hands to feel the earth
There’s something in my veins,
But I can’t seem to make it work… won’t work
So Carry Me,
I’m just a dead man
Lying on the carpet
Can’t find a heartbeat
Make me breathe,
I want to be a new man
Tired of the old one
Out with the old plan
Can you find a beat inside of me?
Any pulse?
Getting worse?
Any pulse?
Getting worse?
Inside of me, can you find a beat?
Carry Me,
I’m just a dead man
Lying on the carpet
Can’t find a heartbeat
Make me breathe,
I want to be a new man
Tired of the old one
Out with the old plan

I’ve added a page to this blog called “Voices.” I encourage you to read it every so often. It’s a collection of quotes and sayings that I’ve found to be quite inspiring and sometimes challenging to my own way of life. Hopefully they will be an encouragement to you as we travel on this, sometimes cloudy, journey of life.
